The ICC's rankings systems are over-complicated, which is why I have been seeking to produce my own, simpler, alternatives. This began with my player rankings, and I am now attempting to do the same with international teams. The results of bilateral series were used to rank teams with the following rules:
If a tournament has more than two participants, placings become more complicated. Teams are ranked in the order they finish in that tournament, with the following caveats:
