Leinster completely steamrollered North West, who look like wooden spoon contenders.
The visitors were never in the hunt in their run-chase. Eddie Richardson removed David Rankin, who was eating up deliveries anyway, to unite Scott Campbell and Niall McDonnell. Neither really got going at all, before falling to Max Sorensen and Alex Cusack respectively. Mooney and van der Merwe also made breakthroughs, although the game was already gone. Stuart Thompson rallied briefly before also falling to the ex-international offie, before Andrew Balbirnie and John Anderson polished up the tail. This game was never really an even contest, showing exactly why Leinster cricket is so strong.

Post script: Looking at the present strength of the Leinster side, it is theoretically possible that there could in the future be two Leinster teams. "Leinster" and "Capital Districts" perhaps? Just me thinking aloud, but I thought I'd share.
